Nepal playing against West Indies ‘A’ in a five-match series starting Saturday



KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing a five-match series against West Indies ‘A’ starting Saturday at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

The West Indies squad arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday, primed for the upcoming T20 series.

Led by the seasoned 32-year-old Roston Chase, the West Indies ‘A’ team boasts a lineup of experienced players set to clash with Nepal’s national team.

Captain Chase brings a wealth of experience, with 49 Tests, 45 ODIs, and 11 T20 appearances under his belt, making him a pivotal figure in the tour.

As Nepal readies itself for the ICC T20 World Cup, it faces a formidable challenge in the West Indies, a side with two World Cup titles to its name.

This series marks the historic first visit of the West Indies cricket team to Nepal.

The five-match series in Kirtipur kicks off with the first match on Saturday, April 27, at 12:15 PM local time.

Subsequent matches will follow on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Nepal is yet to unveil its lineup for the series, promising an exciting clash between the two cricketing nations.
