SC expected to deliver verdict in Durga Prasai’s medical college today

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) is expected to announce its verdict in the case concerning the case filed by Durga Prasai, the operator of the proposed B&C Medical College, against Medical Education Commission today.

The writ petition, which challenges the actions of the Commission for denying permission to operate the medical college, is currently under consideration in the Supreme Court.

Prasai had filed a writ petition against the Commission following the denial of permission to commence operations of the B&C Medical College in Jhapa.

On March 19, the bench comprising Supreme Court Justices Kumar Chundal and Saranga Subedi conducted the final hearing and scheduled today as the date for delivering the verdict.
