Netherlands takes commanding lead over Nepal in opening powerplay



KATHMANDU: The Netherlands asserted their dominance over Nepal during the initial powerplay while chasing a target of 173 runs for victory.

Within the first 10 overs, the Netherlands scored 63 runs for the loss of one wicket, showcasing their strong batting performance.

Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee provided a breakthrough by claiming the wicket of M Levitt, who had contributed 39 runs to the Dutch team’s score.

In the first innings, Nepal was bowled out for 172 runs in 49.3 overs by the Netherlands, setting up a challenging target for their opponents.
