NA election: Sabitri Malla clinches victory in Karnali



KARNALI: Sabitri Malla, representing the CPN-Maoist Center, has emerged victorious in the women’s cluster of the National Assembly election, securing a notable win in Karnali Province.

Malla secured her seat by defeating the CPN-UML candidate, Bimala Kumari Shahi.

According to the Election Commission, Malla garnered substantial support, receiving 29,537 vote weightage from the provincial assembly and 115,2,185 votes from the local people’s representatives.

On the other hand, UML candidate Bimala Kumari Shahi secured 11,583 votes for the provincial assembly and 41,779 votes for the local government, as per the Election Commission’s preliminary data, with the final results pending announcement.
