KATHMANDU: Ruling coalition candidates emerged victorious in the National Assembly (NA) election held in Lumbini on Thursday.
In the keenly contested election for a National Assembly member from the Lumbini Province, Bishnu Kumari Sapkota of the Nepali Congress (NC) emerged victorious representing the women’s cluster, while Jhakku Prasad Subedi of the CPN-Maoist Center triumphed in the “other” cluster, as confirmed by the Election Commission.
Sapkota secured a total of 5,435 vote weightage, consolidating her position as the preferred choice among voters.
