Durga Prasai presented in court for remand extension



KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, a medical entrepreneur, arrested in connection with a cybercrime offense, was presented before the Kathmandu District Court for a remand extension on Sunday.

Prasai had previously been granted a five-day remand extension, which concluded recently.

Following this, he was brought back to the Kathmandu District Court for an additional remand hearing.

Prasai was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) at his residence in Bhaktapur last Tuesday, under charges of spreading false and defamatory information about Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
