Govt should accelerate development efforts: NC Leader Koirala

BIRATNAGAR: Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a leader of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), urged the current government to accelerate its developmental activities.

Speaking at a program in Biratnagar on Thursday, Koirala emphasized that the public has high expectations from the government, which was formed to ensure political stability in the country.

He reiterated the need for the government to address public concerns and enhance development efforts, noting that time is running short for fulfilling its commitments.

Advocating for the importance of federalism in fostering overall development, Koirala argued that provinces should be granted greater authority to strengthen their capacities.

Additionally, Koirala clarified that the current government does not prioritize revising the Political Parties Act.
