Home Minister Lekhak inspects plane crash site

KATHMANDU: A Saurya Airlines plane crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today.

Upon receiving news of the accident, Home Minister Ramesh lekhak reached at the site to take stock of the situation.

Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey also joined him.

Preliminary reports indicate the plane skidded off the runway en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Tribhuvan International Airport confirmed there were 19 staff of the airlines were onboard.

The pilot was rescued and transported to KMC Hospital in Sinamangal.
