Unified Socialist holding Central Committee meeting tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding its central committee meeting tomorrow (Thursday).

Party leader Som Prasad Pandey said that the meeting will convene at 11 am tomorrow at the party’s central office in Aloknagar.

The agenda includes setting procedures and standards for completing the central committee, and selecting office bearers once the committee is finalized.

Pandey stated that central committee members will be nominated based on recommendations from all provinces, evaluating leaders’ contributions and abilities.

Currently, there are 206 vacant central member positions within the party.

To ensure representation from each district and maintain geographical balance in central leadership, at least one member from every district will be included.

In line with principles of inclusivity, the age group for nominations ranges from 25 to 45 years, with specific provisions for women and an open category.
