KATHMANDU: Lawmakers and ministers participated in the protest organized by the Cooperative Savings Protection National Campaign (Federation).

The cooperative victims gathered at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu, where they were joined by lawmakers and ministers in solidarity on Monday.

Rastriya Janamorcha Chairman and federal MP Chitra Bahadur KC attended the protest.

He criticized the misuse of cooperative savers’ funds under government protection, expressing doubts about the ability of the parliamentary investigation committee to function impartially due to governmental influence.

KC emphasized that no one should exploit the hard-earned savings of the Nepali people under state protection.

He suggested that a decisive movement is necessary to recover the savings from cooperatives.

Additionally, Bagmati Province’s Cooperative Minister, Shailendra Man Bajracharya, also joined the protest.

Expressing solidarity with the movement, Bajracharya stressed the need to deliver justice to the cooperative victims.
