Secured Transactions Bill to be tabled in HoR today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place at 11 am today.

Today’s agenda includes the tabling of the ‘Secured Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2080’, as per the communication received from the National Assembly where the bill was originally introduced.

Meanwhile, concerned ministers are slated to address queries during deliberations on the Appropriation Bill, 2081, covering various topics, including responses from the Minister of Health and Population on clarifications related to the upcoming fiscal year’s budget (2024/025).

Furthermore, discussions will encompass budget allocations involving the Ministries of Women, Children and Senior Citizens; Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration; Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Ministry of Finance; Ministery of Home Affairs; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport; Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers; National Planning Commission; Office of the Vice President, and the President’s Office.

Additionally, MPs are set to propose budgetary reductions across several ministerial portfolios.
