KATHMANDU: Operations at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been halted for one hour due to the discovery of a pothole on the runway, as confirmed by the TIA authorities.

Spokesperson Subash Jha said that both domestic and international flights have been suspended temporarily.

“The closure is a precautionary measure following the discovery of a pothole between sections C and D of the runway,” stated Jha.

“The runway will remain closed for one hour for thorough inspection and necessary maintenance,” he stated.
