KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s meeting is scheduled to endorse the government’s policies and programs.

Today’s agenda includes discussing and passing policies and programs in the HoR meeting scheduled for 11 am.

It should be noted that President Ram Chandra Paudel presented the government’s policies and programs on May 14.

However, the policies and programs have not yet been discussed.

In today’s meeting, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will present a proposal to initiate the discussion on the government’s annual policies and programs.

Amendments received from MPs will then be presented.

According to the agenda, Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to answer the questions raised by the parliamentarians regarding the policies and programs.

However, it should also be noted that the Nepali Congress, the main opposition, has been obstructing the meeting of the Parliament demanding the formation of a parliamentary investigation committee to probe the involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in cooperative fraud case.
