KATHMANDU: The case against former Speaker Agni Sapkota is has been enlisted as the issue to be continued on June 5.

The Constitutional Bench comprising Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha, along with Justices Prakashman Singh Raut, Sapana Pradhan Malla, Prakash Kumar Dhungana, and Kumar Regmi, decided, on Wednesday, to continue hearing on the case on June 5.

Then justices Sushila Karki and Omprakash Minstra had directed, on April 4, 2016, to ensure that the alleged-murder related case of former Speaker Sapkota is heard by Constitutional Bench.

Despite being presented more than 15 times in the Constitutional Bench, the case has not been heard each time, leading to frustration among the involved parties.

Purnimaya Lama, the wife of Arjun Lama who was killed by the CPN-Maoist, had filed a murder case against Maoist leader Sapkota.
