Qatar Emir in Nepal: Delegations of both nations to meet today



KATHMANDU: Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, commencing his two-day state visit to Nepal on Tuesday, is poised for a day of strategic discussions and engagements on Wednesday.

Today marks a scheduled meeting between the delegations of Qatar and Nepal, promising significant diplomatic dialogues.

The Emir, upon invitation from President Ram Chandra Paudel, commenced his visit with a courtesy call on President Paudel on Tuesday.

A dinner was hosted in his honor on Tuesday evening, graced by diverse cultural presentations.

Emir Al Thani’s visit to Nepal, at the cordial invitation of President Paudel, underscores the strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

President Paudel accorded him a warm reception at a specially arranged room at Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival.

Following his arrival, the Emir proceeded to the Presidential Office at Sheetal Niwas, where a bilateral meeting transpired between President Poudel and the Qatari delegation, headed by the Emir himself.
