KATHMANDU: Leaders of various opposition parties convened with President Ram Chandra Paudel on Wednesday to discuss pressing national issues.

The meeting was attended by Maoist chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and deputy general secretary Shakti Basnet, Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmakers Shishir Khanal and Sumana Shrestha, as well as Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leaders Buddhiman Tamang and Hemjung Gurung.

Additionally, Madhav Kumar Nepal, char of the CPN Unified Socialist, and senior vice chair Rajendra Pandey were present, alongside Tilak Thapa from the Aam Janata Party.

The discussions centered on collaboration among opposition parties and strategies for addressing the country’s challenges.
