Former DIG Chhabilal Joshi to be produced in Kaski Court over cooperative fraud case



POKHARA: Chhabilal Joshi, former DIG and partner in Gorkha Media Network, is being presented in the Kaski District Court today for an extension following his arrest in a cooperative fraud case.

Joshi was arrested on Sunday in Shankhamul, Kathmandu, and was transferred to Pokhara yesterday.

The Kaski police arrested Joshi after a report from the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee revealed that a significant amount of money had been transferred to Gorkha Media from Suryadarshan Cooperative in Pokhara.

The Special Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on Cooperatives has recommended action against several individuals, including Gorkha Media Chairman GB Rai, former Managing Director Rabi Lamichhane, Director Chhabiraj Joshi, and member Kumar Ramtel.
