HoR reshuffles parliamentary committee members



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) has approved a reshuffle of its members in various thematic committees and the parliamentary hearing committee.

In today’s HoR meeting, parliamentarians endorsed the proposal for the reshuffle.

As part of the changes, Shyam Kumar Ghimire will replace lawmaker Ramesh Lekhak, and Dol Prasad Aryal will replace Dr. Swarnim Wagle in the parliamentary hearing committee.

The State Affairs and Good-Governance Committee will now include Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Purna Bahadur Khadka, Rabi Lamichhane, and Rajendra Kumar Rai.

Meanwhile, Hari Dhakal has been transferred from this committee to the Public Accounts Committee.

Rekha Sharma and Sumana Shrestha have been added to the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee.

Meena Yadav has been moved from this committee to the Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee.

The Finance Committee will now include Padam Giri, Bhagawati Chaudhary, Barshaman Pun, and Biraj Bhakta Shrestha.

Hari Prasad Uprety and Hit Bahadur Tamang have been added to the International Relations and Tourism Committee.

Raghubir Mahaseth and Dol Prasad Aryal have been appointed to the Industry, Commerce, Labour, and Consumer Committee.

Jwala Kumari Shah has been transferred to the Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee, while Shakti Bahadur Basnet has been added to the Physical Infrastructure Committee.
