Landslide blocks Kaligandaki corridor

BAGLUNG: The Baglung-Kaligandaki Corridor, a project of national pride, has been rendered impassable by landslides triggered by relentless rainfall.

Suman Niure, Head of the District Traffic Police Office, reported that ongoing rains since Monday evening have caused disruptions in Baglung Municipality-10 Dablyang along the corridor.

Efforts to clear the landslide are hampered by the current rainfall.

The roadblock has severed direct traffic between the district headquarters and Baglung.

Farmers from Jaimini, who transport 400 liters of milk daily to the Baglung market, are particularly affected by the closure.
