Speaker Ghimire initiates discussions to address HoR obstruction



KATHMANDU: In an effort to address the obstruction in the House of Representatives (HoR), Speaker Devraj Ghimire has initiated discussions aimed at resuming parliamentary proceedings.

Under the leadership of Speaker Ghimire, a meeting involving the chief whips of the four major political parties, representing the Parliament, is currently underway at the Speaker’s office in Parliament House, New Baneshwar.

Participating in this significant gathering are the chief whips from the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Following a disruption in the House of Representatives, Speaker Ghimire earlier adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes to address the prevailing commotion.
