PM Dahal pledges people-centric fiscal approach



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has affirmed his dedication to formulating a people-oriented policy, program, and budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

During a meeting with a delegation led by CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Oli at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar today, PM Dahal expressed optimism about the positive outcomes expected from the upcoming changes in the quality of the policy, program, and the structure, timeline, and process of the budget.

As part of the ‘Resolution Journey for Prosperity’ campaign, launched by the UML from Jhulaghat of Baitadi to Chiwabhanjyang of Taplejung between November 30 and December 17, CPN-UML submitted a memorandum to the government, incorporating the demands voiced by the people.

Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged the UML’s focus on issues related to the development of mid-hill areas, public service, and prosperity, stating that it would significantly contribute to shaping the government’s policy, program, and budget.

The Prime Minister praised the UML’s campaign for its substantial role in safeguarding and fortifying the federal democratic republic.

He assured a serious engagement by the government in addressing the concerns presented in the memorandum by the UML.

Former Prime Minister and UML Chair Oli emphasized the campaign’s noteworthy contributions in understanding the life of mid-hill areas, development construction, people’s psychology, the state of political collaboration, aspirations for prosperity, and their possibilities.

Oli urged Prime Minister Dahal to actively address the issues incorporated in the memorandum, seeking the government’s assistance in resolving key concerns.
