Baburam led-party to be renamed as Naya Shakti



KATHMANDU: The first statute convention of the Nepal Samajwadi Party, led by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, has been successfully completed.

Held in Pokhara, the convention has decided to hold a general convention in Kathmandu from February 7 to 9.

During the constitutional convention, the party also resolved to change its name and flag. The new name will be Naya Shakti.

The convention determined that the party’s central committee will consist of 99 members, while the executive committee will have 11 members including the chairman, five vice-chairs, general secretary, three secretaries, and treasurer.
