Stock market bounces back: Gains 25 points



KATHMANDU: The stock market, which had experienced a decline over the past two days, rebounded today with an increase of 25.88 points.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the market rose by 0.98 percent to reach 2,665.81 points on Tuesday.

Trading activity today included a total transaction volume of NPR 4.17 billion, with 10 million shares changing hands.

In today’s session, the share prices of 199 companies rose, while 40 companies saw their prices decrease, and 5 companies traded at the same price.

Notable gainers included Rawa Energy Development, which saw an increase of 8.86 percent, followed by Manakamana Engineering Hydro at 7.82 percent, Threestar Hydropower at 6.36 percent, Mahuli Lagubitta at 6.10 percent, and Mailung Khola Hydropower Company at 6.09 percent.

As a result of these price increases, shareholders earned between NPR 70 and NPR 26.90 per share, depending on the company.
