KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds continue to influence weather patterns across the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line positioned south of its usual location.
Some areas are experiencing mostly clear weather, while the hilly regions are partly to mostly cloudy.
Light rain, accompanied by lightning, is currently affecting select areas of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy in the Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining provinces will generally remain mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in certain areas of Karnali province, as well as in a few locations in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces, and isolated spots in the hilly areas of other provinces.
Tonight, light to moderate rain with lightning is also anticipated in several areas of Karnali province and the hilly regions of the rest of the country, according to the Division.
