Maoist insurgency victims protest against TRC Bill (photos)



KATHMANDU: Victims of the Maoist insurgency staged a protest today in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, against the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission) Bill recently passed by the House of Representatives (HoR).

The protest, organized under the banner of the Association of Nepal Maoist Victims, was held to denounce what the demonstrators described as impunity under the proposed legislation.

They argue that the TRC Bill is not victim-friendly and will not deliver the justice they seek.
