Nepali Janata Dal to hold its Sixth General Convention on August 17-19



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Janata Dal is holding its Sixth General Convention on August 17, 18 and 19 in Kathmandu.

The party’s National Chairman Hari Charan Saha said that the party’s elected delegates from all seven provinces and districts will attend the General Convention.

The delegates would be picked up within August 15. According to party Chair Saha, the Sixth General Convention will hold extensive discussions on the party policy, ideology, statute as well as on the contemporary political, economic and social topics.

He added that the General Convention will determine the party’s policy along with revisions following discussions.

Stating that political instability is seen in the country due to the frequent change of governments, he said the Nepali Janata Dal claimed this trend would inhibit the economic prosperity, promotion of good governance and corruption control.
