Ruling alliance continues as per consensus: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ stated that the existing ruling coalition will continue based on consensus.

PM Dahal, who also serves as the Chair of CPN (Maoist Centre), clarified that there are no issues within the current coalition.

“There is no point in making hurried remarks about the government’s sustainability because it is functioning with utmost consensus,” he added.

Addressing the 7th General Convention of the Tamang National Front today, PM Dahal emphasized that political change was made possible through the contributions of various ethnicities and nationalities.

“The oppressed classes, genders, and regions have gained opportunities, rights, and justice due to the movement launched by the Maoist party,” he said.

He noted that the Maoist movement was not just for a particular party or community but for all Nepalis who desired change.

He also mentioned that the party has chosen peaceful political competition to protect achievements and lay the groundwork for socialism.

PM Dahal announced that a special general convention would be scheduled after a meeting of the party’s central committee.
