FNJ announces election calendar



KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), an umbrella body of working journalists in the country, has announced the calendar for the election of its new leadership to be held during the upcoming general convention.

The voting will take place on July 7, according to Central Election Committee of the Federation.

According to the election calendar announced on Friday, the voting will take place from 9 am to 5 pm on July 7.

Filing of nomination of candidates will be held on June 27 and the list of candidates will be published on the same day.

The final list of candidates after addressing complaints, if any, will be published on July 29.

Similarly, the time for filing complaints against the voter list has been fixed until June 24.

The election committee said that the final voter list will be published on June 26.
