SALLERI: Two individuals, one Nepali and one Briton, have gone missing during their descent from an expedition on Mt. Everest.

The missing climbers are 21-year-old Sherpa guide Tenzi Sherpa and 40-year-old British citizen Daniel Paul Peterson, according to Kali Bahadur Bhujel, Director of the Department of Tourism.

The two reportedly slipped from an altitude of 8,750 meters at the South Summit this morning.

They had successfully reached the summit of Everest on the morning of May 21.

Their expedition was organized by Eight K. Expedition Pvt. Ltd.

In response to the situation, a team of six trained mountain guides has been mobilized to search for the missing climbers.

The Department of Tourism has called for cooperation from all sectors to aid in the search operation for the two missing individuals.
