IPL 2024 Eliminator: RCB face RR in high-stakes clash

KATHMANDU: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the eliminator of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Wednesday, May 22, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

RCB experienced a disastrous first half of the season, losing seven of their first eight group-stage matches.

However, they made an extraordinary comeback by winning six consecutive matches, securing a spot in the playoffs.

The team, led by Faf du Plessis, includes star players like Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj, aiming to continue their winning streak.

On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals had a contrasting journey.

After a dominant first half where they topped the points table with eight wins in nine outings, their campaign took a downturn.

Despite their strong start, RR found themselves in the eliminator instead of the qualifier.

Led by Sanju Samson, the Royals boast key players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Trent Boult, and Ravichandran Ashwin.
