Hearing on Fake Bhutanese Refugee Scam in to be continued list again



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) hearing on the writ petition filed by 10 detainees implicated in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam is scheduled to continue on Monday.

The hearing of the case will be conducted by a division bench comprising Justices Kumar Regmi and Tek Prasad Dhungana.

This marks the 11th continuation of the writ proceedings today.

Previously, the then Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, along with nine other accused, had filed the writ petition in defense against the allegations and the decision to detain them.

They had filed a habeas corpus writ petition against the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, High Court of Patan, and District Court of Kathmandu.
