KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal has issued directives to 18 ‘missing’ police personnel, instructing them to provide an explanation within the next seven days.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhim Prasad Dhakal, serving as the Central Police Spokesperson, revealed that these 18 policemen, who had voluntarily stayed away from their duty stations and remained unresponsive despite extensive search efforts, must now present themselves with an explanation within the stipulated seven-day timeframe.
Dhakal stated, “Policemen who have been absent from their duty stations for an extended period have been given seven days to appear.”
He added, “Failure to make contact within this specified period or non-compliance with the directive will lead to their removal from service following the completion of the necessary legal procedures.”
The personnel have been explicitly instructed to establish contact within the next seven days.
