Lumbini Provincial Hospital achieves top ranking among government hospitals



LUMBINI: In a significant accolade, the Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal has been recognized as the premier government hospital in the nation.

The prestigious designation comes following a thorough evaluation of minimum service standards.

Dr. Sudarshan Thapa, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, proudly announced that Lumbini Provincial Hospital has secured the top position for the third consecutive time in the evaluation of minimum service standards for secondary B level hospitals.

According to the Directorate of Health Minimum Service Standards Evaluation Committee, Lumbini Provincial Hospital attained an impressive score of 89 points in this year’s evaluation of minimum standards.

The evaluation criteria primarily focused on aspects such as hospital governance and management, clinical management, and support services.

The esteemed evaluation committee comprises representatives from the Federal Ministry of Health and Population, the Lumbini Province Health Directorate in Dang, and the Nick Simmons Institute in Kathmandu.

Patients hailing from districts including Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi, Pyuthan, Syangja, Rukum, Rolpa, and others within the Lumbini province prefer Lumbini Provincial Hospital for their medical needs.

The recognition of Lumbini Provincial Hospital as the pinnacle of healthcare excellence underscores its commitment to delivering superior medical services and upholding the highest standards of patient care.
