Kathmandu District Court sentences woman to six months in prison on honey trap case

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has handed down a six-month prison sentence to a woman accused of conducting a honey trap.

The information officer of the Kathmandu District Court, CP Panthi, provided details that a woman named Devi Thapa has been sentenced to six months in prison, along with a fine of 700,000 rupees and 5,000 rupees as compensation.

Justice Shyamlal Ghimire, in a solitary session on charges related to criminal benefits, declared Thapa guilty.

Sudarshan Thapa was also made a party to the offense in this incident. Sudarshan has been sentenced to seven days in prison, along with a fine of one thousand rupees, and a compensation of 200,000 rupees.
