Open to scrutiny, ready to face consequences over Rs 17 million ’embezzlement’ rumor: Rabi Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has openly stated his willingness to face consequences if found guilty in the cooperative fund embezzlement case.

In a press conference held on Monday at the party headquarters in Banasthali, Kathmandu, Lamichhane challenged any state institution to thoroughly examine his account.

“Any institution is welcome to check my account. If I am found to have taken Rs. 17 million, I am ready to face the consequences,” declared the RSP chair.

It was previously reported that Rs. 18 million had been deposited into Chairman Lamichhane’s private account when he departed from Galaxy Television.
