KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended the transfer of 14 judges from the High and District Courts.
In a meeting held on Thursday, the Council proposed the transfer of three High Court judges and 11 District Court judges.
High Court Janakpur Judge Kiran Kumar Pokharel has been recommended for assignment to the Ilam Bench of the High Court in Biratnagar, alongside High Court Tulsipur Judge Rekha Pandey, who is also slated for the Ilam Bench.
Additionally, High Court Surkhet, Jumla Bench Judge Rajendra Kharel has been recommended for assignment to the National Judicial Academy.
Among the District Court judges recommended for transfer are Shankar Bahadur Rai from the Solukhumbu District Court, Rajesh Kumar Katuwal from the Jumla District Court, and Shyamlal Ghimire from the Kathmandu District Court.
The Chief Justice will implement the recommendations of the Judicial Council.
