RSP Central Committee meeting underway

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is underway at its party office in Banasthali.

Acting spokesperson Manish Jha said that the meeting will cover 10 different agendas, with a special focus on the report from the Party Discipline Commission.

One key item on the agenda is the potential expulsion of former General Secretary Dr. Mukul Dhakal.

Dhakal, who has already been suspended as party spokesperson and central member, faces the possibility of being removed even as an ordinary member.

Earlier, he was given 24 hours to provide an explanation as to why he should not be expelled from the party.

In addition to the disciplinary issues, the meeting will also address contemporary politics, party activities, the upcoming national meeting, a special campaign in Karnali, and the revision of organizational procedures.
