One dies in firing in Parsa National Park



SIMARA: A person has died in a clash between the Nepal Army and poachers in Parsa National Park (PNP) on Friday.

According to PNP sources, the incident occurred when an army patrol encountered a group of poachers.

The deceased’s identity has not yet been determined.

After the firing, other poachers reportedly fled from the scene.

Santosh Bhagat, the park’s information officer, confirmed the incident, stating that further details are still awaited.

“The incident occurred, but more information is pending,” he said, adding, “We are currently investigating the situation.”
