RSP’s Tea Reception : Top political readers reach RSP headquarters



KATHMANDU: Most of the top leaders of the political parties have already attended the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s tea reception organized at the party headquarters in Kathmandu on Friday.

The event saw the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, former Prime Minister and senior leader of the CPN-Unified Socialist Jhalanath Khanal, and Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, among others.

Nisha Dangi, a central member and whip of the party, informed that all active political parties, federal parliamentarians, heads of security agencies, and diplomatic missions in Nepal were invited to the tea party.

The tea party is scheduled to continue until 5 pm on Friday.

The invitees visit the exhibition stalls aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and arranged at the party venue.

RSP was formed on June 21, 2022, and registered with the Election Commission on July 1, 2022.

In the 2022 House of Representatives election, RSP won seats in Kathmandu constituencies 2, 6, 7, and 8, as well as Chitwan constituencies 1 and 2, securing 20 seats in total with 14 proportional seats, becoming the fourth-largest party.

Additionally, the party won the by-election in Tanahun-1 on April 23, 2023, totaling the party seats 21.
