Yoga helps reduce negative effects of modern lifestyle: Prime Minister

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the importance of Yoga and sadhana in mitigating the negative effects of modern lifestyles.

He advocated integrating these practices into education and daily life to promote healthy living.

In his message on the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Dahal urged everyone to adopt Yoga as an integral part of their lives.

He highlighted Yoga’s role in fostering healthy, moral, and responsible citizens.

According to him, Yoga can boost immunity, cultivate positive thinking, enhance self-discipline, and internal energy, and increase work effectiveness.

The Prime Minister also noted that Nepal, as the confluence of Shiva, Janak, and Buddha civilizations, has a rich heritage of Yoga.

The ancient yogis, sages, and maharishis of this region developed and promoted Yoga through long ascetic practices.

This year’s International Yoga Day is celebrated with the theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society.’
