PM Employment Program to focus on human resource production

KAVRE: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Dol Prasad Aryal has said that the Prime Minister Employment Program (PMEP) would be focused on human resource development based on market demands and needs.

Addressing a program in Panauti on Tuesday, Minister Aryal said that the PMEP would get continuity in the upcoming fiscal year and would be implemented in a more progressive manner.

He, however, hinted at changes in the modality of the PMEP and the decision is being taken from the lessons learnt adding that the program was a common program of all three layers of government.

Minister Aryal urged the local government for their active participation and publicity of the programs related to skills and employment.

Likewise, the Minister asked the employment service centers to update data on employment generation under the PMEP.
