Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane discloses property details

Owns 1 ropani 1 ana of land in Bhaktapur



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has disclosed his property details.

According to the information made public on Tuesday, Lamichhane said he owns 1 ropani 1 anna (over 342.25 sq ft) of land in Bhaktapur as his ancestral property.

It has been revealed that two bank accounts in the name of Lamichhane hold a surplus of 100,000 rupees, along with the aforementioned land.

However, Lamichhane has not disclosed the value of the land in Bhaktapur.

Lamichhane disclosed that he possesses two bank accounts.

He declared having Rs 5,000 in savings from his salary at Global IME Bank’s Panipokhari branch.

Similarly, at Nepal Bank Limited, Nayabazaar Branch, he has more than 105,000 rupees.

All other movable assets are registered under the name of Lamichhane’s wife, Nikita.

Describing his wife as a businesswoman, he mentioned that Nikita acquired the ancestral property from her in-laws upon marriage.
