KATHMANDU: The government’s policy and program for the fiscal year 2081/82 is scheduled to be discussed starting from Friday.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed lawmakers on Tuesday that the government’s policies and programs would be up for deliberation starting Friday.

The government is gearing up to present the budget for fiscal year 2081/82.

Emphasizing the importance of party representation in the discussion of policies and programs, Ghimire urged party officials to provide the names of speakers from their respective parties to kick off the meeting. He also requested the Management Division to arrange facilities in the Legislative Management Branch.

Members wishing to propose amendments to the policies and programs are requested to register their names between 11 am and 2 pm on Wednesday.

President Ramchandra Poudel had presented the annual policy and program of the government for the upcoming fiscal year during the joint session of the Federal Parliament on May 14.
