KATHMANDU: The task force formed to prepare Terms of Reference (TOR) on forming a parliamentary probe committee has decided to seek a middle ground on proposals between the ruling and opposition parties.

CPN-UML chief whip Mahesh Bartaula said that in the meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning, both sides agreed to seek a middle ground on proposals to establish a parliamentary committee.

“Today’s discussion was primarily verbal, with each side presenting their respective proposals,” Bartaula said.

However, he noted that consensus has not yet been reached on the formulation of the TOR.

“The aim is to resolve the issue and break the deadlock in the House,” he emphasized.

Bartaula further stated that another meeting would take place today to discuss the draft TOR.
