Weather: Light rain and thunderstorms forecasted



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial effect of local, westerly winds and low-pressure system in Nepal.

Currently, some places in Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces are witnessing light rain with lightning.

The weather is partly to mostly clear in the hilly parts of the country today, while the rest of the country will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies, the Division said.

This afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and gale in some hilly areas, including the Koshi and Lumbini provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall is possible in a few high hilly and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear over the hilly parts of the country, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

A few places in the Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with one or two places in the hilly areas of other provinces, are likely to experience light rain with thunder and gale.
