Groupwise discussions underway in UML Council Meeting



KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the National Convention Representatives Council of the CPN(UML) commenced on Saturday at Sunrise Hall in Godawari, Latilpur, with groupwise discussions now taking center stage.

The meeting, attended by over 2,454 representatives, has kicked off discussions on Chairperson KP Sharma Oli’s political report and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel’s organizational report.

These reports highlight the party’s commitment to democratizing its internal processes and positioning the UML as a decisive national force, in line with the aspirations of a ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

Key topics up for deliberation include reports from the central disciplinary commission, central accounts commission, central election commission, and central advisory council, as stated by Chief of UML Publicity Department Rajendra Gautam.

The gathering aims to chart out the party’s trajectory, focusing on organizational strengthening and refinement to bolster its position as a formidable national force.

Additionally, in celebration of the 75th year since its inception, the UML is set to host a special program on Monday.

The event is expected to see the participation of prominent figures including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and former Prime Ministers, alongside top leaders from various political parties.
