Manaslu glacier’s Birendra Lake outburst in Gorkha district



KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office has reported an outburst of Birendra Lake, a freshwater lake situated in the Manaslu Glacier of Gorkha District, leading to a flash flood in the lower regions.

While complete details and the extent of destruction caused by the flood are still being assessed, residents in the lower belt are urged to exercise caution.
