UML’s Convention Representative Council meeting to continue today



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML National Convention Representative Council meeting, which started on Saturday, will resume discussions today in Godavari, Lalitpur.

A group discussion is slated to deliberate on the reports submitted during Saturday’s proceedings.

Notably, the first day witnessed presentations by party Chairman KP Sharma Oli on the political front and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel on organizational matters.

Additionally, reports from the Central Disciplinary Commission, Central Accounts Commission, Central Election Commission, and Central Advisory Council were tabled for deliberation.

With a staggering participation of two thousand four hundred and fifty-four representatives, the Council aims to address the presented reports and conclude by passing pertinent agendas today.

In parallel, amidst the convention’s deliberations, a special event commemorating the 75th anniversary of CPN’s establishment has been scheduled.

Dignitaries including Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, alongside other eminent party leaders, have been invited to participate.
