Rain with thunderstorms likely in some areas



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of westerly and local winds across Nepal.

Currently, the weather is predominantly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, with partly to mostly cloudy skies elsewhere.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali, while the rest of the region will experience mostly clear skies.

There’s a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in select areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, some isolated areas in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are likely to witness light snowfall.

Storms may occur in a few locations within the Madhes and Terai areas of the Koshi Province this afternoon.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, with clearer conditions elsewhere.

Storms may also manifest in select spots within the Terai areas of Madhes and Koshi provinces, as well as one or two locations in the plain areas of Lumbini Province.
