KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has launched a movement by submitting a set of 40 demands to the government.

According to Mohan Shrestha, the party’s Spokesperson and Head of the Publicity Department, the protest was officially inaugurated with the submission of a memorandum containing several demands, including the restoration of monarchy and Hindu state, to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on Wednesday.

The RPP’s demands, voiced in Kathmandu today, encompass a broad spectrum of issues including the reinstatement of the monarchy and the Hindu nation, the overhaul of the state structure, and the establishment of a two-tier government with a robust central authority and empowered local governance.

The party’s demands also include anti-corruption measures, assurance of good governance, and a commitment to nationalism, development, service delivery, and the welfare of the people.

Shrestha said, “These 40 points are directly tied to the long-term interests of the country, and a memorandum has been submitted to the government through the Chief District Officer in all districts.”

RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden presented the memorandum to Prime Minister Dahal at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar.

Other leaders accompanying Lingden included Pashupati Shumsher Rana, Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, Buddhiman Tamang, Bikram Pandey, Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, and Rabindra Mishra, among others.
